Most people I meet in their 50s have the same story. The kids have moved on. The expensive years are behind them. There’s finally some breathing room. But they’ve never actually sat down and worked out whether their super is going to be enough. The thing they’ve been paying into for 30 years; they’ve never really looked at it.
It’s not a comfortable question. That’s why most people avoid it. But in my experience, the answer is usually better than people expect. The anxiety is almost always worse than the reality.
The problem isn’t that people don’t care. It’s that they don’t know where to start. The jargon is dense, the options are confusing, and every website tells you something different.
That’s where I come in. I’ve been doing this for 36 years. The conversation takes about 15 minutes. I’ll tell you where you stand, what retirement will realistically cost you, and whether the gap is something to worry about or something you’ve already solved without realising it.
If we’re the right fit, we can talk about what happens next. If we’re not, I’ll tell you. I’m not interested in wasting either of our time.
